SHEET METAL CONTRACTORS OF CENTRAL OHIO
In 1972, a group of Sheet Metal contractors met to discuss the identity
of the Sheet Metal industry in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to this time, the Sheet Metal
contractors were members of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Central Ohio. It
became apparent that the air side of a project was becoming the dominant factor of the
job. Therefore, the Sheet Metal contractors realized they needed their own Association and
the Sheet Metal Contractors of Central Ohio, Inc. (SMCCO) was established..
